What was the 5G Connect Event?

If you are a hippie at heart, you would have truly enjoyed the 5G Connect Event that was held at Barraud Park in Norfolk, Virginia on October 19, 2019.  This spiritual festival was one held in conjunction with other similar events all over the world with the intention to “raise the frequency of the planet to one of LOVE.”    What does that mean exactly?

Meeting Local Holistic Practitioners & Vendors

The field was filled with a series of holistic practitioners and vendors who hauled folding tables, crystals, books, information and food out to enjoy the perfect weather on Saturday.  This was the first community event that LocalHolisticGuide.com was a proud sponsor of.   In addition to promoting our new website, Facebook page and Facebook Group, we were offering free samples of the liquid vitamin Vemma and the insanely healthy Verve Burn. Verve Burn is a liquid vitamin energy protein drink, which is made from reverse osmosis water, has 22 grams of collagen protein and 7 grams of fiber.

Other community partners included the popular Virginia Beach boardwalk store Good Vibes Wellness located at 233 16th St, Virginia Beach, VA.  In addition to selling books, crystals and other metaphysical items, Good Vibes Wellness also often has a psychic reader available for walk-in appointments and regularly hosts a variety of workshops and meditations which can be found on their Facebook Page.  Meditations are often lead by the talented psychic medium Kathy Lamm, who in conjunction with Kimie Porter coordinated this amazing FREE event with the help of many volunteers.  Kimie is also a transformational leader and speaker.  They both help facilitate the Goddess Gathering GLOBAL Facebook Group.

Making New Friends

As fate would have it, the Local Holistic Guide table was right next to local author Reverend Keith Davis who wrote Spirituality For The Common Man which is available on Amazon both as a printed book and for free as part of the Kindle Unlimited subscription program which allows readers access to over one million kindle books and audio books for $9.99 per month.  Kindle Unlimited offers a 30 day free trial and pays authors from the subscription fee based off the number pages you read.  However, if you contact her, I have a feeling that Rev. Keith will be happy to autograph your print book, which she had on hand at the event.

Reverend Keith joked about her mother’s sense of humor in naming her Keith.  She openly shared that her mother passed away when she was 8 years old, which lead to her spiritual journey and deep connection to Jesus Christ.  In addition to her spiritual work as the founder of the non-profit organization Be the Christ Temple she also rescues abused animals as a part of Animal Manger Rescue.  Her genuine caring and compassionate personality instantly makes you feel like a long lost friend.

Another of the 5G Connect sponsors was Cecilia Dawe-Gills who is a certified master hand analysis and owner of Palm Purpose. As a breast cancer survivor, she became passionate in discovering her life purpose and found answers literally in the palm of her hand.  She was glowing with enthusiasm when explaining what the lines in your hands can tell you about your life.  In addition to reading, she also teaches classes, including one called “Thumbs Up” which specifically focuses on the lines of the thumb.  We joked that she could become a finger print analyst for the FBI with all this in depth knowledge!

Trying New Things

Vibrational Sound Therapy

Anne Ipock Leanzo and Pamela Tate shared their love of vibrational sound therapy and were offering free “sound baths”, which I was fortunate enough to try.  This entailed stepping barefoot into a large metal bowl, which Pamela then hit several times from different angles with a large mallet creating a “gong” sound, which literally vibrated your entire body.   She then used a smaller and more high pitched sound bowl and mallet starting at near my head and then lowering toward the ground immersing your total body in a gentle sound vibration.  You can definitely feel a wave of energy sweep through your body similar to the way it feels when you “get the chills” or goosebumps.  I honestly really enjoyed it!

Bemer Therapy

Emily Basto was set up on the other side of our table and she shared her passion for Bemer therapy. Bemer stands for Bio-Electro-Magnetic-Energy-Regulation therapy, and these FDA registered devices improves microcirculation and promotes the blood flow in the smallest blood vessels.  She shared how the Bemer device greatly helped her father’s health, which lead to her purchasing a unit and becoming a local distributor.  She was offering free sessions for people to try at the 5G Connect event. You can contact her at 757-418-0428 if interested in trying this therapy.

Massage, Reiki & Reflexolgy

The was also a free massage tent that was extremely popular which was offering free massages, Reiki & reflexology!  Britt Cundiff who is a crancial sacral therapist, definitely had a busy day sharing her healing touch!

Musical & Masculine

This event wasn’t just for “Goddesses” as speakers emphasized the balance between masculinity and femininity.  Many of the “Gents”  were talented musicians as the event featured a wide variety of musical performances.  Wynne Paris a well known Kirtan artist among the yoga community traveled to perform at the festival. Brien Egan of the locally owned Sound Healing Conservatary performed using crystal bowls and Ryan Pitt and Neve Grace of www.yoginineve.com had everyone on their feet in an electric dance meditation.  Charles De Amor told me all about how his grandmother inspired him to launch his local business of making all natural Heavenly Heat Salsa while waiting to go on stage and share his musical talents.  Mr. M. E. Hart also lead the crowd through some light hearted interactive poetry.   This is just a sampling of the many speakers, musicians, practitioners and vendors who participated in the 5G Connect Event.

Genuine

Don’t let the hippie verbiage scare you from checking out this event next year. It’s OK to be a little skeptical as several of the nearby neighbors were – who stopped by to check out the Woodstock style festival that descended upon their neighborhood and ended up leaving with a smile. Even several of Norfolk’s finest police officers seemed to be entertained when manning this very zen event.   Every single person that I meet at this event was genuine and simply intent on making our world a more positive place.  I would say they definitely accomplished their mission in making sure everyone left the event feeling a little more love in their hearts.  Also worth mentioning is that the 5G Connect is FREE!
